I love that she could turn it on and turn it off without feeling torn or divided or in turmoil about the difference between being a strong black woman in her own way and then portraying one in another way. word! its funny…. i feel she was allowed to more multifacetic than alot of women even today. mostly because SHE fuckin owned herself in her entirety and it showed.
